Intent and Security Orchestration Implementation Plan

For agentic workers: REQUIRED SUB-SKILL: Use superpowers:subagent-driven-development (recommended) or superpowers:executing-plans to implement this plan task-by-task. Steps use checkbox (- [ ]) syntax for tracking.

Goal: Implement a security-first orchestration layer in the SDR LangGraph to detect intents, filter off-topic chatter, and block/notify on security threats.

Architecture: Add three specialized nodes (IntentSecurityNode, OffTopicResponderNode, SecurityActionNode) to the LangGraph. The SDRState is expanded to track security flags and off-topic persistence.

Tech Stack: Python, LangGraph, Pydantic AI (for future refinement), Pytest.

Task 1: Update SDRState Schema

Files: - Modify: src/amon_claw/infrastructure/llm/agents/state.py - Test: tests/infrastructure/llm/agents/test_state.py

  • Step 1: Write the failing test for state expansion

    import uuid
    import pytest
    from amon_claw.infrastructure.llm.agents.state import SDRState

    def test_sdr_state_includes_security_fields():
        state: SDRState = {
            "messages": [],
            "tenant_id": uuid.uuid4(),
            "customer_id": uuid.uuid4(),
            "extracted_info": {},
            "next_node": None,
            "intent_type": "scheduling",
            "security_flag": "none",
            "off_topic_count": 0
        }
        assert state["intent_type"] == "scheduling"
        assert state["security_flag"] == "none"
        assert state["off_topic_count"] == 0

  • Step 2: Run test to verify it fails Run: pytest tests/infrastructure/llm/agents/test_state.py -v Expected: FAIL (TypeError or KeyError)

  • Step 3: Update SDRState in src/amon_claw/infrastructure/llm/agents/state.py

    from typing import Annotated, Any, TypedDict
    from uuid import UUID
    from langgraph.graph import add_messages
    from langchain_core.messages import BaseMessage

    class SDRState(TypedDict):
        tenant_id: UUID
        customer_id: UUID
        messages: Annotated[list[BaseMessage], add_messages]
        extracted_info: dict[str, Any]
        next_node: str | None
        # Security and Intent fields
        intent_type: str  # e.g., 'scheduling', 'greeting', 'off_topic'
        security_flag: str  # e.g., 'none', 'potential_injection'
